Based on the Christmas carol “God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen”, this grade 1 arrangement features easy rhythms (quarter, half, dotted half, and whole notes), melody lines in all parts, some pizzicato, key of “e” minor and 4/4 time throughout, some divisi double stops in the cello part, and an optional piano part.
